Public Biography
ï Interests include applied informatics such as evaluation of EHR tools supporting chronic care management and large scale system design and implementation to support population health goals. ï Experience with grant writing and successfully funding projects such as an NIH sponsored health disparities outcomes project, large scale diabetes registry implementation (HHS/ONC), and clinical EHR connections for state cancer registry (CDC). ï Designed evaluation of EHR Dashboard and Care Coordination applications, as part of a chronic care management and population health improvement project involving Nurse Care Managers, health analytics and EHR support tools. ï Prior experience includes Project Manager and State- Lead for multi-state health information technology and exchange policy research collaborative, managed budget, staffing and proposal development; lead and co-authored technical reports and analysis; Advised federal and state legislative HIE statute development. Entrepreneurship and start-up experience. Training through NSF I-Corp, UMKC and Kauffman Foundation. Research and development of consumer health record in collaboration with Expert Community Advisory Group for specific patient population, disease group.
