ACMI’s 2023 Symposium is open to all Fellows of ACMI (American College of Medical Informatics) . The Symposium is a 3-day event held in a retreat-like atmosphere to enhance collaboration among the Fellows on important current informatics topics.

We are excited to host this year’s Symposium at the Caribe, a hotel well known to us, with outstanding spaces ideally suited for networking both inside and outside! We are also happy that by having our meeting in Puerto Rico we are able to give back to a community that has been so welcoming to us in the past. Puerto Rico is the perfect location for building new relationships, renewing old friendships after the pandemic, and relaxing.

The theme of this year’s program is Esprit de ACMI.  This meeting, in that spirit, will focus on us!  Specifically, the entire agenda will consist of presentations contributed by ACMI  members for ACMI members. Thursday evening will open the retreat with an island themed welcome reception. Structured discussions will be held for half-days on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Fellows will be able to continue their discussions in the afternoons by participating in planned small group tours or by spending time on their own. We have many surprises in store for you, and look forward to having record attendance, lively discussion, and fun together!
