ACMI Fellows convene throughout the year. Annually, fellows and their families participate in the American College of Medical Informatics’ Symposium. This is a four-day event starting on a Thursday evening and ending on a Sunday around noon, consisting of three days of four-hour morning sessions for plenary and breakout discussions, with afternoons and evenings dedicated to recreational and social activities.

ACMI’s 2023 Symposium is open to all fellows of the college. The theme of this year’s program is Esprit de college primarily focused on creating a program around fellows’ contributions with varying lengths of presentations.

2022 ACMI Symposium

April 28 – May 1, 2022

We invite all college fellows to participate in the annual 2022 ACMI Winter Symposium. The symposium is a 3-day, highly focused event that gathers today’s informatic leaders to convene in an intimate resort type atmosphere. The fellows discuss and consider presented materials and solutions in order to foster and shape relevant solutions to today’s complex informatic environments.

2021 ACMI Winter Mini-Symposium

Fellows of the College are invited to participate in the 2021 ACMI Virtual Winter Program. This year’s winter meeting will consist of presentations and discussions around the findings and recommendations from the recently convened 25 By 5: Symposium to Reduce Documentation Burden on U.S. Clinicians by 75% by 2025, as well as reflections on the past and present of biomedical informatics and its implications for the field provided by our inaugural Distinguished Fellows.
