2024 DEI-ME: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Career Mentoring Event

Monday November 11| 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm | Yosemite B

The AMIA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Subcommittee on Retention and Advancement is hosting the 3rd career mentoring event during the AMIA 2024 Annual Symposium. This event is generously sponsored by Merck & Co., Inc.

The goal of the event is to provide an inclusive mentoring experience that features specifically DEI-focused discussion topics to bring together individuals for career mentoring conversations in a small group setting. There is an ice breaker networking activity followed by group conversations.

Each mentee selects two topics of interest  and rotates to each of those groups. Each group is composed of one to two mentor(s) and six mentees at a table.

While we’ll have some discussion questions prepared, this is also a unique opportunity to meet others with similar interests and bring your own questions and learn from each other.

To participate, you must be registered to attend the AMIA 2024 Annual Symposium.

All are welcome to apply!
